Today we did some more surveying.
We chose to animals and then interviewed our classmates to determine which animal was most popular.
The children were great at asking questions and even better at recording their results using tally marks.
After the surveys were finished it was time to analyse the data - the children are great at explaining that this means they have to say what they found out in their own words ... or explain their results.
The children then wrote a sentence about what they discovered.

We shared our learning with our class and then glued it all onto some big posters that we are going to display in our classroom (this work was done completely on our own - the purpose was to show our maths understanding so we had a go a writing on our own, the final work is just as we wrote it - check out our great spelling attempts).
