This afternoon the children shared their 'I think, I wonder, I know' ideas from last week's home learning.
Then we watched a youtube clip that taught us about craters on the moon.
We discovered the craters are caused my meteors hitting the moon.
We also discovered there is no wind on the moon so the craters stay the same.
We filled a container with flour then dropped ball bearings into it. We imagined the flour was the moon and the ball bearings were meteors that left craters.
We experimented with the different effects depending on how fast the meteors travelled.
It was great fun and we did some excellent explaining of our understanding.
